  3. Imho i would be careful here.....? ( well ?) doing myself collecting me Suiseki stones....knowing others who do Ikebana from the Kyo-tradition.... i just can confess you- i never ever have seen such alike yet..... the blade looks chromed.....? am i right here.....? eitherway.....doesn´t look very authentic eitherways....but! maybe i am wrong! Christian
  4. He-ho! i certainly did not write 21th century! i did write- maybe 18´s, 19´s or early 20´s ( just for putting the lance...) and yes- i do hard doupt this spoken Tsuba is old! ( and with old i do mean the Muromachi/ Momoyama time! - the only time when Kanayama Tsuba were done). ( i do like your´s Tsuba Steven! ) me
  5. that one one Maruta-san ´s private collectors blog did interest me... it but went sooner then i could react...- however, thanks to you all´s links! do hold me in mind for a good quality iron Yagyu please! ( many were done by the latter Myochin, Hoan or Higo....This is the quality i am looking for...) Thank you again! Christian
  6. Well... ! Ok- a new purchase....that´s fine! ( every new purchase is fine! ) congratulations eitherway! a nice new 19th´s Tsuba definitely! ( if not early 20´s ? ).... Christian
  7. Dear Christoph, i am not personally convinced, it is that old....? if i do remember me well ? i have seen it already in past.... i actually can not point it...sorry....i but do strong guess for a "in spee" Owari or a "sideshow" -Shoami tradition here... it is a nice Tsuba eitherway...but not old....maybe around the 18´s...? ( many points do not congrue...) sorry...i just can not remember me where i have seen it already..... eitherway- nice! definitely! me
  8. uups... the number of people reading this,is certainly higher ( least actually), then those reading the "want to buy" section definitely! also- i do not forcefully "want" to buy- (before i do not see.... )... plus+ ( maybe some things to trade....- for this but, i´d need to know the collector; - least a dusty knowledge onto what kind of "material" he/she is heading for. some trade - ??? some purchase equally.... eitherway ok....
  9. i am always looking to buy me good quality iron Yagyu Tsuba! reading that there is so much multiple nice stuff offered here for sale actually- i just wonder ? if there is not a collector here who "dares" to sell one or two of his Yagyu? just feel free to PM me ( and yes! i do know all those Tsuba which were offered within the last years on multiple of dealers sites! so no need (please!) to provide me with links to some of those actually-or still- offered ones by this continually increasing mess of multiple dealers!) this is a private collectors investigation only. eitherway.... thank you! Christian
  10. shure it is old and antique? ???
  11. Laugh!
  12. Hello Tsurugi, do have a heartly welcome here.... unfortunately your´s pictures are not crisp enough.... also, you should try to show both sides... best way is to take it outside and shoot pictures under direct sunlight.....not using a flash. eitherway.... your´s Tsuba looks good to me and i am pretty shure it is not a modern replica.... Christian
  13. Ford and Jean ( both seriously to ben taken as "enough" knowledgeable into metallurgical sciences... )- did already point out about the thematics.... i think, so far there is no one professional metallurgist out here, - this all thematics should start- AND END- with Ford´s excellent written words. and,- as far NBTHK does not answer to our´s collectors regularely happening questions, a proof and academic authentification about this "mystrere"....is eitherway obsolete. Christian
  14. Dear Ron, i see and will hold you in first row... yes, it is available- is but mountet on a sword which does not interest me at all.... i do not collect me swords. the whole set is priced too high for what it is. let us see....i gave a offer- do but honestly speaking think, i will not get it for this price... Christian
  15. Dear Jean and Peter, thank you gentlemen! you do confirm my thoughts.... indeed strange..... Christian
  16. Dear Gentlemen, i wonder if there is not a collector here who can help me in this querry ? this is actually the only picture i can post- wondering me extremely about the mei on this Tsuba. Confess i have not seen yet- anybody has seen? actually i am not very much convinced and rather do see it as a kind of mayfly..... Christian
