Recently, a seller based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, has appeared on eBay. Most of the swords listed by this seller feature genuine fittings but blades with Ge mei. I suspect that more swords like these will appear in the future. Below are some photos for your reference.

He has several swords for sale. If you compare the mei, the nakago, and the blades on his current and completed auctions, they are all very similar. Much too similar!!  Very tempting, but have to be faked, when you compare several swords.

He is currently selling this as well. This blade has no mekugi ana. I have never seen this before. Did he forget to drill one??

Here is a link, just check his current auctions and past auctions and you will see all the nakago's and mei all look similar in cut and material.

Looks like it's a "Nihontou Gendaito", so that is not quite your typical nihonto, is it?

Gendaito, in the collecting sphere are blades that are between 1880ish and 1945. Anything after that is a Shinsakuto, aka modern.

These blades are not gendaito and probably Chinese made. Boshi looks too awkward to be proper Japanese also.
