Hanpo alteration

Could anyone change over the tare guard. Ideally in the UK
'A needs repairing and fitted to 'B'

A is a better in my opinion and older and should be restored. B is a later issue than A. I think A is momoyama era.

Barry: David only lives a few miles from me and I did contact him. Hes not taking on any more work and he specialises on high grade items

Yodare-kake/Tare, much like Shikoro are not really interchangeable, the plates are curved to fit the original piece, I would recommend not altering them.

You can fit a not matching tare with a technique called “kōmori-tsuke”!

So I'll write it hard when the others didn't have the courage.
Any investment in this low level is a waste of money.

So if for any reason you decide to throw away money, then only R. Soanes in UK , the others are useless.
