Brian Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 So what age do you have it pegged at?Markings would seem to indicate wartime. Quote
David Flynn Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Son of Toshihide? some more photo's please. Quote
C0D Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 The signature seems TERUHIDE (輝秀) not NOBUHIDE to me Quote
Ed Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Nice blade, but not Nobuhide 信秀, Teruhide 輝秀. Way it is engraved, mei looks like Ihara Teruhide opposed to Ishido Teruhide CORRECTION: checking this post again and realized my comment regarding the mei should read the opposite. It should read, looks like Ishido Teruhide opposed to Ihara Teruhide. Quote
Stephen Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Amazing is subjective ... Well it might be to him and his stage of learning Nihonto!! Luis you need a lesson in understanding newbies! slow your roll! 4 Quote
Stephen Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 But and its a big butt!! hes allowed to ask what he wants....per rules not to be told anything other than correction of mei which hes been supplied. Quote
Brian Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Correct. But we do require at least a first name please. And I think clarification of what we have here is important to potential buyers. You call it a rare signed WW2 katana, so I guess we would ask what makes it rare, and what did the society say it is?
