Nihonto on TV

For those of you who have access to PBS (public TV in the US), tonight on "Nova" the show is titled, "Secrets of the Samurai Sword". Should be worth a watch.

I don't think I have seen that one, and it will be forever before we get it here.

Is this a BBC, History channel or Discovery channel offering?

It's been available to watch on youtube for quite a few months now but looks like they've removed it.

 

The bit with the European sword is particularly bad :lol:

This is in english. Original file was a pvr.ms file of 3.5 gig, so I encoded it to a mp4 and got it down to around 600mb. This was my first time encoding with this program and I am not totally happy with the aspect ratio but the quality is really good. Microsoft files are always far more bloated than is necessary.
