True that, ive heard that years long cured urushi objects could give some people a reasonably nasty reaction!

Wow i dont understand why so many of you seem affected by it, i tested legit urushi on my hand a few years ago and it never did anything, but then again, it doesnt mean anything, i might just be Lucky. Great table finish, love the rich dark red Brown color.

Ive bought a nice Tadakuni Wakizashi from Aoi Art about 4 years ago, no problems with getting it shipped to Canada.

Terrific job on the tsuba, I thought it might have been a goner after seeing the first picture but you were gentle with it (even if using chemical, concidering the circumstances) and it shows! As for the brass, i dont know, liver of sulfur perhaps? its a bit drastic and will make silver black, but i dont know about brass, might be worth a try, since the patina on it is already gone.

I did not publicly states the facts about my experience because someone else did so in the past and that person has been threatened by lawsuit... I never feared such things but it is important to remain neutral here if we want this board to remain feud-free. However, I will just say that it is easy for someone to pop in and call bullshit, but considering that person has only made two posts in the last couple of years makes you wonder the motive being the action. With that, perhaps this thread should be locked? As I fear it might turn into something rather silly, quite fast.
