  1. I got also Koyama Eitatsu as great example of Yoshiie "wild goose" scene
  2. Overall triptych looks good. Have that minimalistic vibe I like.
  3. I didn't expect it to be original so I didn't payed a fortune for it too. Here you go siganture, also box have some writings on it
  4. @Jussi Ekholm another piece to list. First of Hisanobu tanto with tokuho. Tsunagi is great here.
  5. Dunno how it is priced but you should pass this. Nagasa have rust spots. Nakago jiri was reshaped to fit into tsuka?
  6. Yeah I noticed that both examples have numbers on tang mune
  7. Here you have for comparison https://new.uniquejapan.com/an-ishido-mitsunobu-teruhide-navy-katana/
  8. BLACK FRIDAY SALE! EXCEPTIONAL WWII IMPERIAL Japanese NAVAL OFFICERS KAI GUNTO SWORD, WITH TASSEL, SIGNED ISHIDO MITSUNOBU, WITH FAMILY MON, STUNNING! - Pre98 Antiques https://share.google/PMFqvsYzdZAVavHa8 Just for your opinion on mei authenticity boyz. Looks gimei for me. Made to get higher price. Dunno if you like threads like this. If you see it annoying or unnecessary tell me.
  9. If there won't be any availabe we should start collecting those?
  10. Avoid this seller! He offers juyo with hagire claiming that no sword with hagire would get juyo Crazy stuff. Even if pappers are legitimate after submission many things can happen. https://ebay.us/m/oX7GAc Summit of ebay seller. Call yourself gallery/museum and offer overpriced "museum class" items.
  11. Any measurements? Nagasa especially.
  12. Yes I thought about shills but bad shape of blade is enough to keep away. Too much money involved.
  13. Meiji era koshirae? Gold painted, some wear near mekugi ana on tsuka. Sword without papers. Katana mei. Tsunagi for that kind of blade should be similar to blade! - its cut in half. Blade on the other hand have some features indicating koto jidai. Tsuba meh. There is some wear near hamachi - tsuba was rattling for some time. Looks like someone was prepparing blade for this koshirae not the other way. Sometimes is better to pass not thinking why. You ask why? Check kissaki-accidentaly nice "milky/foggy" polish with such a long bohi.
  14. Nakago on ebay example definietly look shortened. Maybe katana was remounted or it wasn't finished at all?
  15. Dunno if genuine but at least you have an option https://ebay.us/m/W6tSEZ
  16. @dimitri check this. Why to buy on fleebuy @Jussi Ekholm list position 12402 https://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/53018-Japanese-old-sword-database/#comments literally bingo to start collection, so many juyo from one school/period Template referencing to his list will be helpfull for future sales. List include ~ 15,7k blades. How many of katana? How many tokuho? Rare.
  17. Size of stamps is different, koshirae too, maybe tsuba didn't belong to ebay piece originally?
  18. Both have toyokawa arsenal stamps, different mountings. One is from finished ebay auction https://ebay.us/m/BrXGbO Second is from my acquisition on forum. https://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/52795-affordable-kai-gunto/#comment-550834 Numbers matching on tsuba 251 and 265!!! Photos of ebay piece attached. Worth nothing is different side placement.
  19. Ok Im going to call it as imitation to avoid any misunderstanding
  20. Info about swordsmith https://www.japaneseswordindex.com/naga.htm
  21. For future reference Im adding another with almost identical number 98009 looks like maker had only 3 digits to use
  22. NBTHK | The Japanese Sword Museum https://share.google/LbiOfx5s7Em1I9zgg Prices are current?
