  7. Omfg I'm lost of words. If I only knew. I wasn't bidding becouse I thought It's going to good hands. https://ebay.us/m/SW6xUn
  8. Usally I don't grab small arms koshirae but this tiny piece looks like custom order blackened one. Tsuba is in bad shape but haikan was a sell. rubber addon. Maybe saya would be metal.
  9. Compare to other swords atributed to this period. Use Jussi list. 0.5 motokasane
  10. I'm more confused about prices. Was 1k each and now it's 1,5k. You should convince seller not to worry about inflation and that after trade agreement dolar will recover shortly.
  11. https://sword-auction.com/en/product/27692/as25131-katana:mumei-attributed-to-kanenaga-無銘兼長-38th-nbthk-juyo-token/ Are there any indicatiins that blade was retemper? So wide yakiba.
  12. I posted @Jussi Ekholm list. How much in % of all swords in public market he couldn't put there? How much can be in private collection which never surfaced? Those numbers are intetesting as He gathered less then 16k swords below jidai 1450.
  13. Koshirae is Tachi...
  14. It dsnt feel like Japanese made sword. Throw it back to the river
  15. Dig through this thread Especially added file. No seki stamp but you can't be certain. I would expect total of 2k£ [with 30% premium] What kind of hamon it have? Gunome hoji? Descroption states midare. On photo 2 it looks wide and deep.
  16. Edit to post signatures closeups
  17. Show us more. You are collecting mei or swords? Focus more on blade condition.
  18. Try to find matching holes :] better buy another gunto
  19. Please redact your contact info here and send him a pm. Its not about members but possible bots scaning for this kind of info.
  20. Its torokusho. Check this reference for more answers. It indicates blade being made in traditional way. https://www.jssus.org/nkp/japanese_sword_laws.html But I myself have trouble with understanding what "traditional" mean in relation to shinsaku era swords.
  21. Very important advices and from me more important one above all else - check sellers stock. If seller have many photos done in different ways he is reseller. Now you decide to go simple way and still buy it or look in an ocean for original offer. It can save you some $ and give fun.
