  5. Hello, If so, you may have some delay on duty papers and would have to explain to chronopost (whom done the duty papers for you) what it is really : so a sword ... If "antique" or "over 100 years old "is wrote on the parcel, you would paid 5.5% duty fees. If not it would be 19.6% Sebastien

  8. Hi, It is little more complexe. It is like a piece of wood that break but the fibers are still connected. if you try to straighten it, it breaks. :? Sebastien
  9. Hi Bruno, Not a fatal flaw because boshi is safe. A polisher would have enought place to reshape it. Sebastien
  10. Todd, Georges, Many thanks Sébastien
  11. Hi George, Can we infer from your question that the sword with a wooden scabbard are generally good gendaito blades for these kinds of mounts ?
  12. Hello, The aoi art link doesn't work on my PC !?! and if I go directly to aio web site I can't retrieve the item number 08639
  13. Hello, As told by Reinhard, the koshirae doesn't fit the blade properly. The empty space between Habaki and Tsuba could be explained by the missing seppa. The tsuka is very "strange". Fuchi too small, no kashira, menuku under full wrapping ito ... Nevertheless habaki is nice This koshirae doesn't looks like Satsuma rebellion one. Such koshirae are more basic, no patern on fuchi kashira and tsuba, ito wrapping different, ... Regarding, the blade it is difficult to tell anything with this photo. What is the state of the blade ? Does hada / hamon are visible ? Sebastien
  14. Hello Henry, I heard that apprentices learned polish on lower qualities blades. So if a mistake is less serious than on a blade of value. May your blade is one of these ? Sebastien
  15. The shape of the nakago looks like Bizen's one. :D
  16. Hello, According to the rule of this forum, you should signed your post from you real name. The mei (sign) of your wakizashi is BIZEN KUNI(?) MITSU Is there other kanji on the mei (sign) or only 4 ? Sebastien
  17. Hello Henry, I also noticed recently some blades with hagire and the sellers doesn't mentioned it in the description.
  18. Hello, On first picture, the 2 kanji on the right is "koto" For the others I don't know
  19. Hello, No, koshirae shouldn't move. You could try to repared it carrefully. Sometimes it is just the mekugi which need to be changed. If the loose is more important you can try to change seppa (thicker) or add 2 seppa (always by 2). Someones add leather or paper seppa. Sebastien
  20. Hello, I got this book 鍔の美 (Tsuba no bi). Unfortunatly it is in Japanese and I didn't read it.
