  9. http://www.k3.dion.ne.jp/~j-gunto/gunto_003.htm personally i like it.....here are some more from that link we have at the top
  10. its a nice old sword with a few polishes behind it....as a few wares and battle damage to the mune which in my eyes the latter adds character...i would go with bungo myself
  11. the first link is i the same smith as mine where as the oshigata is exactly the same as the kanji on my sword......he even signed his mei with 2 kanji. these statements i believe are true unless someone can put me right
  12. my mouth is staying closed stephen... :D

  17. http://www.japanesesword.com/Images/Swo ... nto14.html same smith i presume as the sword i have as its the same sugu hamon and unusual boshi. just want to know why they sometimes use 2 kanji mei and on another sword they do the full monty
  18. looking for info on the above smith if anyone can enlighten me...all i know he is a showa seki smith and some basic sword details as follows nakago jiri............kuri jiri yasurime..............cyaku taka no ha (hawk feathers) kissiki...................." 0 " boshi.....................hakikake (brush strokes) hamon...................wide sugu with nie hada.....................itame with mokume cannot tell you any more other than the cutting edge is 26 inches and its 11/4 wide. sorry the sword is not at hand at the minute and the details above are from a description and photos...this should polish up nicely but like everything nihonto i need to know more , many thanks gentleman

  21. any one who can offer assistance
  22. i see kanetoshi but i need to know which one....many thanks edited.....studed abit harder and i comfirm it is kumazawa kanetoshi....the 3rd kanji was misleading me :D
  23. sorry but i meant to say you would not have sold this sword as an emura if you knew it to be gimei....i have seen most of your ebay sales and all have been well represented and documented....once again my opologies
  24. my knowledge of nihonto is very limited but i have seen many emuras in the past and they are many variants of his mei but this looks the poorest i have seen...i would say gemei. james would not have passed this sword on as emura if he did not genuinely believe it to be gemei
