  1. Hi Brad, Chinese. Leave 'em alone. Brian (UK)
  2. Hi Ray, I have 2 of these chairs. They are Chinese made corner chairs and are decorative only.Nothing what so ever to do with "Swords" its just BS! Regards, Brian (UK)
  3. Hi Eric, I have been to the shop in Robinsons a few times. As with you the owner wasn't there and the shop girls just look at you as though you're wierd. I was told by a friend of my wife that you aren't allowed to take anything like that out of the Philippines but as you probably know anything is possible there if you have the money! I was also told that collectors of militaria have like a closed shop and meeting are held in out of the way places and you only get to know by word of mouth. Is the shop opposite still there called "Guns for good guys"? Regards, Brian.
  4. Hi Erik, It is a bit of a mystery. Seems as though its got all the others baffled as well judging by the responses! Hope you are keeping well. Cheers, Brian.
  5. Hi All, Thanks Stephen & Mark. I have put another couple of pic's. Cheers, Brian.
  6. Hi All, I have a Kai-Gunto I would like some help with. I think its signed "Hizen Masakiyo" I have asked about this ages ago but have now taken some pics for members to look at here. http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/t ... 852831006/ I would also like someone to give me a rough idea of what I could sell it for if I decide to. Cheers, Brian (UK)
  7. Hi Mariusz, Sorry, I must have missed that post . I hope it does take off.The fees are certainly good. About time someone gave Flea-Bay a challenge. Regards, Brian
  8. Hi All, Don't know if anyone has seen this site. It costs 10cents to list and 2% if your item sells and you get a $10 sign-up fee for free. Nice alternative to Flea-Bay. It probably wont affect American sellers but could be very useful to us Brits. Here's the link. http://nihontoauction.com/index.asp Cheers, Brian (UK)
  9. Hi All, Bit off topic this but I wondered if anyone has seen anything like it before or may be, identify it. Its about 5 inches round and made of bronze. No markings at all on it. I bought it as it looked like a Japanese pilot. Wondered if it was an ad. or something. The wooden holder was made by a friend and did not come with the item. Any theories???? Cheers, Brian (UK)
  10. Hi All, I had a terrible time finding Dragonfly menuki. I put a wanted ad. here on the board but no luck. In the end my friend Tony Edmunds bought me some back from Japan which were modern. He then got Richard Adams to re-patinate them and they are now gracing a gorgeous wakazashi he refurbished for me. I've still not seen any older ones. Cheers, Brian. (UK)
  11. Hi Jim, The English for it would be "Drop Dead Gorgeous" ! Brian
  12. Hi All, I have a Kai Gunto signed "Hizen ju Masakiyo" and I cant find very much info on him either. In Walingas book it just says "Very little known" Beautiful sword in fantastic fittings. Cheers, Brian (UK)
  13. Hi David, Yep, Stupidity never has a day off! Brian.
  14. Hi John, Thanks for the reply. I'm sure there will be more to come in your listings in the future. At the moment I am looking for a signed Bungo Katana so will keep an eye on you website! Regards, Brian.
