  1. This is pass on secondhand information. “Kata-kiriha Zukuri is a shape that was popular during the 14th century , but there are mechanical reasons for this. Looking at the cross section of the sword, the blade angle on the side of Shinogi Zukuri is small and that of Kiriha Zukuri is larger. If you cut an object with this, the resistance of Kiriha Zukuri is greater, so the cutting edge goes to Shinogi Zukuri. On the other hand, the sword is held by the right hand, but when it is cut, the blade edge faces left. The force that the cutting edge tries to move to the left side and the force that the cutting edge tries to move to the right cancel each other out, and a straight cut can be made. " http://www7b.biglobe.ne.jp/~osaru/kagaku.htm#tsukurikominokouka × kiriha zukuri → 〇 hira zukuri ? × shinogi zukuri → 〇 kiriha zukuri ? The author wrote so, so I transcribed it as the original text.
  2. This may not be the subject of the topic. The Japanese Sword Equipment Study Group's certificate is not issued by a corporation established with the approval of the Japanese Minister of Education. Therefore, the credibility of the certificate is considered limited. http://www.musasiya.co.jp/token.htm The price difference is 10 times that of the Japanese market, which is too large. That is it a price difference that should be accepted when exported overseas? https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p713444980 https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/495470919 The seller says that this is Akasaka Tsuba, a design Bamen School was good at too. Though it is a little inferior in iron quality, I thought it was good. If it is unnamed, it is 300USD in Japan. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k485244159
  3. Jean-Pierre san. I think you knows this kind of work. If I add in honor of the craftsman, he also made a decent sword. Ankh. Homework for you. https://www.samuraishokai.jp/sword/09140.html http://kako.nipponto.co.jp/swords2/KT222108.htm
  4. ankh.Try the following: ・Drag and copy "三条小鍛治宗近". ・Search with Google, Yahoo, and other search engines. ・For example, the following information will be hit in Japanese. 銘 (表) 三条宗近作 (裏) 永祥元年二月右→ This year number is a lie, It is the same as "乾隆年製" on the back of Chinese pottery. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/j642072605 ・The link will be displayed and the explanation will be translated. ・If you have any words you don't understand, ask a question in NMB. Cat tablecloths are cute, good luck.
  5. For example: 「三条小鍛治宗近」奈良住 文化頃 以下数代あり 刃物作者 "Sanjo Kokaji Munechika" Nara residence, around the age of bunka(1804-1818), There are several generations below, cutlery author https://twitter.com/tsuruginoya/status/1021249133036867585
  6. I did it again! I posted in English, but machine translation was turned on. Thank you, Dale.
  7. What an old romantic naga-wakizashi! There is Nie-suji, which is said to be the "crawl of slugs", so it is certainly Uda-school. The 23.5-inch O-suri-age is very similar to my own sword. I suspect that it is not a modification of WW2, but a modification for the two-handed saber of Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905). Admiration. An example of two-handed saber of Russo-Japanese War. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/493690629
https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m429510867
  9. We're all cheering for you.Do you best you can. Good luck!
  10. Kanou Natuo used his technique to simply show Bushido's heart, "Bamboo blown by the wind and flowing water." Its shape is tasteful and protective on your fingers when "keiko (practice)".
  11. The board tsuba is easy to observe, and the watermark tsuba with many spaces is difficult to understand. I will not stop buying if you take risks. What is important is that the exact same tsuba will appear after a few months or a year. It is possible that either the same item was resold or another clone.
  12. For July. http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c833621483 http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p780233857 http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d460257524 http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/v734230514 http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u362079193 http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h490411447 http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/o410619830
  13. He has a similar tsuba. I don't know how much I bought. Y.A http://twitter.com/HrXi38Srx6rQZ7h/status/1277062715744251904
  14. Yura. Like you, sometimes person send a picture to the Japanese sword fansite established in Japan. "Hey guys, see one. I have got a wonderful samurai sword, and it's signed by Masamune!(or kotetsu or kiyomaro or...) " The Japanese response is always the same. "Oh great. If it's a real thing, it's a big discovery, so I recommend that you examine it with an authoritative appraiser." The next NBTHK review will be in September. I expect good results. Y.A
  15. Is the topic of koshirae over? Why are you getting so heated? You don't have to worry about kiyomaro's signature. No one can reach the real kiyomaro. See a Mekugi (fastening pin) hole. Grindstone powder is sticked. Evidence that the previous owner of this wakizashi often maintained it. I think that the next owner should also be cherished. Y.A
  16. I still don't know how. I type every time, not smart! The exterior is a traditional and splendid style dating from the 13th century, so a deformed copy of the new era is made. Apparently, there are no scratches or abrasions that would normally occur, so I think it is electroplated refinished as Adam says. 17. Really? Maybe I've mistaken it for someone else. Both look great for me. Y.A
  18. This is a masterpiece, it is better not to touch it with bare hands. 八駿馬図鐔 銘永壽(花押) http://blog.goo.ne.jp/tsuba_001/e/a4e901d2aad398bc7b4731daeef0e259 Yas
  19. Dale. Thank you for the interesting sample. I've added the image to my library. I think that the rough place on the back side of seppa-dai is a trace of gas generated in the molten metal. It has a unique finish to castings. An imitation may be sold without the seller knowing. Yas.A
  20. How about...I have no idea. My prospect is $280, $475 is too high. Yas
  21. I hate to say this, but I think that the sign of "義乗(yoshinori)" does not match the sign of "縁(fuchi)" and "鞘尻(sayajiri)". Yas.A
  22. I agree with you. In addition, I don't even know where this brilliant tsuba spot is. Downloaded from an image on the internet that does not reveal the source. Yas
  23. Do you own a standard work to compare with the new tsuba, in this case a certain Akasaka Tsuba? Nearest is your own eye. I'm just behind the monitor. Yas
  24. Thank you for your reply,Bruno. The norm that many collectors already know is that iron tsuba must be confirmed in direct sunlight. The images I uploaded were sent by a friend. Both are popular edition, and were taken in direct sunlight. A friend tells me it is Akasaka Tsuba and Higo Tsuba, but anyway, I can see that the two have distinctly different rust colors. The tsuba on the right has a rust color like coal, which is known as "purple rust." These differences in rust color indicate different iron qualities or schools. For reference only. Yas
  25. I was watching Bruno's uploaded tsuba side by side. If I could buy an item like this for 90 euros, it would be fun. Both photos seem to be artificial light sources, but the rust color looks quite different even though they are the same tsuba. His images show the difficulty of identifying iron tsuba online. The importance of picking up the real thing cannot be overemphasized. Yas
