  1. I am surprised at the location of the bohi on Adam's katana. For the first time I see bohi under shinogi
  2. Have I broken any rules I don't know about?
  3. Yes, Ken, I realize - of course I found this thread by accident and wanted to thank Yurie for her great work
  4. Dear Yurie, I found your website a few weeks ago. I'm a beginner collector from Slovakia. There is essentially no collector community in my country, so I can only get information from books in English and information on the web. Your website is simply amazing. Interestingly written history of Japan and influence on the development of swords. Greatly explained characteristics of blades and individual schools in different time periods I hope you will publish your knowledge in your book once and look forward to it I sincerely thank you for your time and willingness to share your knowledge with other Japanese nihonto fans I have found a lot of valuable information on your site and I will always be happy to come back here
  5. Thank you Chris Thank you Brian, I enjoy your opinions. I believe I made a good decision
  6. thank you guys I'm really glad your rating is better than my first choice Dai Token Ichi would certainly be interesting ( but I would have to take my mentor with me and I'm not sure what Kirill would say )
  7. thank you Jason My knowledge is at the very beginning. I was charmed by the blade design I communicated intensively with some members I finally decided on this piece http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/16598-long-koto-signed-bizen-tachi-for-sale/ Now I'm just looking forward to his arrival
  8. Thank you for a clearer explanation Kirill It's my fault I don't understand the terminology, not yours
  9. Jean-Pierre, that is why I have opened this debate I found something that enchanted me. And I wanted to know the opinion of experienced people Maybe you are right that when I buy it, I will look at it differently for half a year and I will regret not deciding otherwise My sword is reserved, but I guess I have something to think about at night Jean-Pierre, that is why I have opened this debate I found something that enchanted me. 10. 16K you're absolutely right But I'm looking for it - hmm
  11. I agree Vajo, Sukesada is very nice. I appreciate everyone's opinion. It looks like I choose as a typical beginner Many of the terms you use in the discussion I'm looking for on Google ... I believe I will not need it once, but it will be a long way
  12. Rayhan - I sincerely thank you I'm not planning to do anything with him. Yes, I like it very much. I can't judge the sword itself. I don't want to spend $ 10k for ... but You're right - everyone likes something - and I like this piece
  13. Thank you for your observations guys It's a new sword, made 2017 Rayhan gave the right link https://www.touken-matsumoto.jp/eng/product_details_e.php?prod_no=KA-0190 Did I understand that it is not a good purchase for people who understand it?
  14. Friends, I'm totally unaware of the issue of Japanese swords. However, I dream long enough to buy one. Today I found one who charmed me. Hamon has an unconventional technique and the sword looks beautiful. However, I would like to hear the opinion of experienced people Thank you in advance for your feedback
