  1. Welcome Adam! You will find this a friendly place. Lurk a while to get a feel for the place and then ask questions. Thoughtful questions will lead to thoughtful answers.
  2. Welcome Brian. I too had an Uda track that I loved, but a friend loved it more. He now enjoys it. Good taste.
  3. Thanks once again.
  4. Hi Ray: What did you read the second character to say?
  5. Here is a signature on a tsuba. I read the first character as Kazu or Ichi and the last as Saku. The middle character is the one I need help with and if you have information on the smith that would be appreciated as well.
  6. Do not use a new copper penny as it is not pure copper. Arnold Frenzel decades ago gave me an old English penny that is large and pure copper. They are not expensive, easy to hold and work well.
  7. Someone must have really liked that tsuba.
  8. He was indeed a character. I will miss him. Thinking of him brings a smile to my face. RIP
  9. +1
  10. I too offer my condolences to family and friends.
  11. They look fine, but I think that they should be in a safe.
  12. Great introduction Yvan. You are on the right path and with your choices so far I see you travelling a long way. Welcome to NMB.
  13. Here is a big dipper fuchi.
  14. Here are some photos of my Tochibata tsuba. Please note that the kozuka ana has been added or at least the size increased. It is well done.

  20. Here is a link to a koshirae of a Hizen Masahiro blade. Both blade and koshirae are papered. Enjoy. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPPiPMhuqYZ1wP0SG7eBzwAfbuaV7GZKQhlsB-Ox5x8xixmGwVB8dGdbSHDsKHAZw?key=QVJUZ3FhSzN2TzVqWklCY3dBaVBfakZNZmtvcFVR
  21. I enjoyed the video. It was a great talk. The subtitles are a joke. Kajihei was given many different names by the subtitles as were many others. You might want to keep an eye on the subtitles and an ear to Marcus.
