  1. Thanks for your pictures Matt. I have no idea why that sword was fitted with a modern Seppa. I see the original sakura seppa on the tsuka side. So i wonder why there should be an open space to fill it.

  4. It was somewhere in that facebook groups. I have no clue how to find posts there back. Facebook is a mystery for me.
  5. The hole sword looks assambled from parts. I'm not sure that this is a legit blade. The habaki is hammered into the blade. Looks like a sausage.
  6. something looks not correct.
  7. Looks like modern stuff. Its some old yes. You can't do something wrong if it was cheap. Have fun.
  8. From your pictures the blade has lost its shape. All edges are grinded round in that photo.
  9. Great reading and with the right sense of humor. The $4 polish triggers me "Asking Mr. Inami if he could make a sword is like asking the president of General Motors if they could build a car."
  10. Alexa - is this a real tsuba? Dale....

  12. Wow Dale that is such a lovely research! Great job.

As Roger says. 70 years is perfect. You have the time, wisedom, maybe the money and a quiet fantastic universe to explore.

I don't know why but i think on Hizen looking on that Tsuba.
  16. Looks good for me Vitaly. Its made with gold and silver foil. Not paint. Later edo tsuba.
  17. Vitaly to see what it is you need to make bigger better pictures. 98 EUR - what should go wrong? Its a normal dinner with family.
  18. Blade looks fake to me. The rest looks lala.
  19. Found a thread you refer. Sorry didn't read that you know the smith. Is that your sword? The koshirae is a souvenier sword. It was assembled after the war and sold in PX Stores to US Troops as souvenier.
  20. Its upside down. My guess is Toyosuke saku seems to be a showa-to
  21. These are to small for the clipper lock. Ron speaks about it.

Maybe we never found the original tsuba because it has a job in Longquan in a tsuba molt. I decide to turn it into a masterpiece

    Mr Darren Harvey

This one is a better quality cast. With a little more effort you can make a nice tsuba from it for a chinese replica katana. To sad that it is painted.
