  15. Thanks Bugsy We sent the Otanto ( viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3291 ) in June to make the July Shinsa, was getting my hopes up. Ill wait for John to get back on, thought it might have said on the paper. Hai Domo!!
  16. remember a old really cheesy samurai movie where the sword was forged from a meteorite and quenched with BLOOD It was very laughable, I did on the other hand talk to Howard Clark about such a blade, and he was in the process of looking at a meteor that was for sale at that gun show. Dont know if it came to being or not.
  17. once more does it say any where on the sheet if it was the July shinsa?
  18. Hi John Was that for July Shinsa?
  19. I hate to be the first to tell you but its not a true Japanese sword, just a copy of one, doubt that it was brought home from WW2.
  20. this page may come in handy
  21. I second that
  22. looks to me that it should have a gold plaque with kanji..im sure ford could fix it. your insert dont work imho.
  23. hard to tell from the pix, may be bizen, trading is good if you can find it, cash buys you parts.
  24. Jim id hate to see it just sit on your wall, maybe put it up for sale here so it will go into the Nihonto community, not that there's any thing wrong with it there but I'm sure you hate to see a 69 camo just sit in someone's back yard if you know what I mean. here is a scan from the connoisseurs book. it may have been a kinnoto or Royalist sword. I really like the subtlest of the tsuba and with some boning and oil it would come back. nice find..no handle just blade a tsuba?
  25. a quick look shows us its a stainless steel blade, the tassle may have been added on as its mounted in the hanger, under the leather cover is it a plan black wood saya? fittings shot is too far away to see what your talking about as far as how well its made.
