picture 5 is the same picture that Stephen references in that picture it appears to be a smudge unfortunately I did not see the habaki unless that is the leather seppa. I collect russo mounts and at the San Francisco I saw a similar blade, traditionally made, in russo mounts.
I do not know much but I found the Haynes auction catalog set along with Naunton Catalog of Japanese Sword Fittings to be the best for starting out. I have a fair match for the one tsuba
No such thing as 1 tsuba, I initially said I would be happy and quit collecting after 1, now I find myself lost in the hunt with 16 drawers and too old to remember my intial thought.
I seen the second tsuba, liked it as it reminded me of the well cover tsubas that i like, but noticed it carried the disclaimer CONTEMPORARY IRON TSUBA
I believe this is an example of recycled ezo menuki. I often see them recycled on Kozuka and saya and have several in the same style. I was once told they originated from armor.
