  1. Thanks for the input. It's going to see daylight a couple times a week for iaido class and will occasionally travel, so I'm fine with what it is. Greg
  2. Am I correct? I'm new to this, but I think I see a casting line. Thanks!
  3. UPS is shipping, per the folks at Geiheya. Also, I had a sword from e-sword.jp sent to me via FedEx last week. Arrived at my home in NY, 2 days. There may have been some creative description....
  4. It's taking me a while to get my jaw off the ground. Simply stated, "BEAUTIEFUL"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I loved the part where they leave him the pile of clothes... gi, hakama, obi, etc.... He goes in the dressing room and comes out PERFECT! It took me a LOT longer to learn how to wear the traditional garb.
  6. Beautieful, impressive work. You've got me thinking about a custom piece for Iai now!
  7. I just watched my copy today. Informative and beautieful. Audio is 1st rate also. Kudos! I will be viewing it again, I am quite sure.

  13. Will someone please educate me as to why there are so many cut nagakos? I cannot figure the reasoning for shortening that end of a sword. Thank you,
  14. Is there a NY shinsa in the cards? Is there a regular rotation of US cities? I'd love to attend one. Thanks,
  15. I believe you have hit the nail on the head.
  16. The koi is beautiful, and now my desktop wallpaper. Thanks!
  17. Nice piece. You did well, IMO, not to let it go cheap at the gun show. Shame on them! Wonderful piece to keep and hand down, should you desire to.
  18. Greg C., from NY, USA. I always loved the look of a katana and hoped to one day own one. Fast forward: a recent introduction to the art of Iaido really got the katana urge rekindled. Of course, I bought the 1st piece offered to me and then began to read all I could find. I bought books and began scouring Internet, including here, as a guest. I quickly surmised I was the owner of an overweight piece of Chinese junk. The good folks here quickly verified it. I registered here, bought more books, and now begin more serious study. Thank to all who have already given freely. This place is a fount of knowledge.
  19. Welcome, and I look forward to the nice photos I'm sure you will post!
  20. You misunderstood. This one is not a copy/fake. There was reference to another thread I started abbot another sword. That one is a fake.
  21. Congrats on your new, and first piece. I am right behind you....
