Last time this happened to me the package had been left with a neighbour.

Might be a good idea to get the buyer to check.

Have done,he replied in negative, first time for me, have to say the lack of ability to total track in our computer age is not makeing me any more secure.

Thanks

Who did you send it with?

Australia post will deliver to the house but if no-one is home it has to go to the nearest PO and a card is left for the reciever. They then have to sign for the parcel. APO deliver a variety of carrier's parcels but I think there are one or two like Fedex that do their own final delivery.

Id contack Ast Post directly if I were you.

Thanks for that Steve, was sent Royal Mail Global express priority. Checked on the Australia post web site but does not have an "Incoming " section so have mailed John and asked he does the same.

Again many thanks

Hi Roy, Sorry to hear about your problem. I live in Melbourne and have had a package, (sword 15k) left at our door in a apartment

complex. It seems that some workers are not getting a signature and just leaving it, that was with aust post. I just had one delivered

with fedx and had to sign, that is what is suppose to happen. All you can do is get in touch with aust post and ask who the driver was. Hope it go;s well. Jim

Roy,

You will be able to get further details of the shipment by putting the parcelforce tracking number into the Aus post website here:

http://auspost.com.au/track/

Peter

Thanks Peter

Have tried but no luck so have sent email request, cant see what more can be done as the final UK tracking ended at the North Essex Depot......hopefully its not still there. The recipient who signed it in was EKO80069733GB...what the hell does that mean I wonder.

Thanks again folks.

Your a gem Peter,thanks.

It has changed the message since I last checked.

Will pass on.

Thanks folks, due to the space this is using up (sorry Brian) no more replies please untill I get confirmation of loss or delivery, the RM & Parcel force tracking has been missleading to both myself and recipient.

Many thanks

As a final to this and for those like me who did not know and were confused by the tracking system.

Royal mail and Parcel force world wide have a "Two" tracking number system, the first shows transit to the Hub at Essex and at that point is shown as delivered. This was where my Australian panicked and I followed, thaks to Peter NMB member picked up as only on the Parcelforce web site was a new tracking number shown........

Ten days later it has arrived, so, even if you send a parcel abroad via RM, check the PF site for more details.

PS. Even this is not 100% as I finally had to progress through 12 options to speak with a human as the tracking showed it was in Aus: but was being held awaiting sender instruction, he found that this was an incorrect input!.

Thanks to all those who replied

Problem is Stephen when I do manage to speak to someone I no longer understand what they are talking about :(

In the last 10 years a whole new English vocabulary has been created that seems to ignore all basic structure rules and grammar. ( I think I am beiginning to sound like my father!)

in modern speak " no problemo bro" (I think)

in the Queen's English "that is quite alright old chap"

in the local Northumbrian dialect "Nay bother man"

please take the approriate line as and when they suit.

I will now stop diverting from original topic!
