I'll be there!

I am very curious/excited about what that NBTHK-AB display might be...

Say hello if you see me, and apologies in advance for my social ineptitude
Looking forward to it.

Sam -

The NBTHK/AB have put together a display of AOE blades which will be very much worth your while. Once again another excellent opportunity for study from the American Branch...

I cannot make it this year due to unemployment. Once I get that next job, I hope to go to this show next year and say hello to some of my old friends.

Chicago NBTHK/AB display was under-advertised and overly incredible.

San Fran exhibit of Aoe blades should be rather *wow* as the best Aoe blades I know of in the USA are all West Coast.

Sitting in the airport now. Hope to attend the show this afternoon, and all day tomorrow. Safe travels, everyone!

Take pictures to share! I’ll get a few too.

I’ll be the scrawny guy with a mustache, please say hello if you find me.

I'll be wandering around Friday and Saturday, giving scornful looks to the mistranslations of various hakogaki and other items.

For those unable to attend, there is a Go Yoshihiro katana and a signed Norishige tanto (both in the photos from @Toryu2020). Unfortunately, they are only for display and not for sale. Both are valuable pieces for learning, nonetheless, if you have not seen other examples in person. And there are lots of other swords that are for sale and attainable.

You forgot to mention the Ichimonji Yoshifusa and Bizen Nagashige, both TokuJu. Very impressive display. Did the owner allow you to observe in hand? Those 3 blades alone would have encouraged me to attend the show. Not to mention the Shintogo Kunihiro.

Any photos of the Takagi Sadamune tanto?

The Show is shaping up to be a wonderful opportunity to observe some world class swords up close. I'm quite jelly.

Seems to be an amazing show!  Thank you for the pictures Thomas.

From the pictures the absolute highlight for me would be the Yoshifusa tachi even though I was way off by first glance, thought it would be something later.

Yesterday I got to study a TJ Aoe with prominent multi-layered utsuri unlike anything I have seen as well as the TJ Niji Kunitoshi that did not sell in the Davidson auction. Both are outstanding blades worthy of their status. The TJ Aoe will be part of the NBTHK-AB presentation later today.
