I believe the top scan's smith name is Kunitoshi. Although not 100% sure of the "toshi".

I agree with Kunitoshi for the 1st oshigata. I haven't translated the others but I notice that they appear to have been made with the soot and cellophane tape method. This isn't good practice, as the soot will change the patina of the blade's nakago. Ink stone and fine paper do a better job and they do no damage to the sword.

I've had no damage to nakago with the smoke Oshigata, just needs a good cleaning, do a search for Takayama to for the latter Oshigata.

I don't think we want to tell anyone to give a nakago a good cleaning.

Traditional ink stone and paper oshigata aren't difficult and don't require messing with the nakago. There is no reason to use soot.

The long signature in scan2 eventually reads: Taka-yama To Tan-ren(?) X X UJIFUSA tsukuru (kore) i.e. "made this". Both mei look like Showa-To/WWII to me and somebody more familiar with ToKo of these times might come up with a more precise answer.

以安来鋼作之 – This is made from Yasuki steel.

Thanks for the help with the translation of the signatures. I will in the future other OSHIGATA'S and got the advice to heart, no more soot to use.
