Squale69 Posted February 4, 2025 Report Posted February 4, 2025 Hello, Please let me know what you think of this belt + chain. Original or fake ? If someone has the ability to translate Kanjis on the leather part of the belt... Thanks for the feed-backs. P.A Quote

Bruce Pennington Posted December 20, 2025 Report Posted December 20, 2025 Adding a link to a thread started by @Hector Sam brought to our attention that there are numbers stamped on the inside of the clip. Hector and Ian had numbers stamped there as well. Sam's "8" Hector's "7" Ian's "2" 1 Quote
Scogg Posted December 20, 2025 Report Posted December 20, 2025 I’ve had this hanger for a couple years and photographed it more than once. Didn’t notice the numbers until I brought it out to compare with Hectors . I find it interesting that in our small sample size, so many have just 4 digits. -Sam 1 Quote
Scogg Posted May 1 Report Posted May 1 Here is an interesting one, of a style/type that I have not yet encountered. With the numbers 1 1 1 1 stamped inside, or maybe four uppercase I’s. Thoughts on authenticity? Looks aged enough, and those numbers are a pretty subtle detail. https://ebay.us/m/T6AGNX Best, -Sam Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted May 1 Author Report Posted May 1 Appears to be a "Sam Browne" clip type from the missing bottom attachment. It's difficult to say with these as original Japanese types have been found with the clip. 2 Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted Wednesday at 07:43 AM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 07:43 AM An example with five strands, not sure what dictated the number of chains. One imagines these multi strand examples were inspired by old Tachi hangers, like on the National Treasure Hojo and Uesugi Tachi Koshirae. 3 1 Quote
Kiipu Posted Wednesday at 03:34 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:34 PM Thanks John for posting the pictures. Based upon past conversations, @Ray Singer would probably like to look at it too. Quote
