If someone has the ability to translate Kanjis on the leather part of the belt...

Is there any specific time of all this Hangers? I only do know that they use Leather since Type 3 was introduced. I have repro Type 94 Shin Gunto at home, wondering which one fit the sword.

Adding a link to a thread started by @Hector

Sam brought to our attention that there are numbers stamped on the inside of the clip.  Hector and Ian had numbers stamped there as well.

I’ve had this hanger for a couple years and photographed it more than once. Didn’t notice the numbers until I brought it out to compare with Hectors .

 

I find it interesting that in our small sample size, so many have just 4 digits.

Here is an interesting one, of a style/type that I have not yet encountered. With the numbers 1 1 1 1 stamped inside, or maybe four uppercase I’s. 

 

Thoughts on authenticity? Looks aged enough, and those numbers are a pretty subtle detail.

Appears to be a "Sam Browne" clip type from the missing bottom attachment. It's difficult to say with these as original Japanese types have been found with the clip.

An example with five strands, not sure what dictated the number of chains. One imagines these multi strand examples were inspired by old Tachi hangers, like on the National Treasure Hojo and Uesugi Tachi Koshirae.
