Butch Posted February 24, 2022 Author Report Posted February 24, 2022 My question is the knife WW2 manufacture and what is the reason behind the eyelet at the top of the handle ? Many thanks Gareth Quote
Kiipu Posted February 24, 2022 Report Posted February 24, 2022 I think the eyelet is for a lanyard. It this case, it would go around the wrist. 1 Quote

Stegel Posted February 24, 2022 Report Posted February 24, 2022 Nice find! The leather cover on the saya is great, not very common to come across in this model. Like Steve, waiting to see more of it. Quote
Butch Posted February 25, 2022 Author Report Posted February 25, 2022 Haven’t had time to more pics yet. The Sword is made by a RJT smith named Kuwa- Hara Naga Nori Quote

Bruce Pennington Posted February 25, 2022 Report Posted February 25, 2022 I love the sarute on this! Looks personally made out of canvas or something similar. Is that oshigata of your blade, or just an example of the mei/smith? Quote
Butch Posted February 25, 2022 Author Report Posted February 25, 2022 Those rubbings came with it Bruce .., 1 1 Quote
