Utopianarian Posted March 6, 2021 Report Posted March 6, 2021 This sword presently posted for sale on EBay. Dressed in WW2 Gunto mounts. I’m sure there are thousands of gimei Sukesada out there let alone which generation if known to be legit. Anyways to start with it looks like it is signed Sukesada what are your thoughts. 99.99% gimei? Quote
Nobody Posted March 6, 2021 Report Posted March 6, 2021 The mei is not Sukesada, but seems to be 千手院 - Senjuin. 2 1 Quote
Utopianarian Posted March 6, 2021 Author Report Posted March 6, 2021 Thank you that does make more sense Quote
Utopianarian Posted March 8, 2021 Author Report Posted March 8, 2021 Yes signed Tachi mei. Nagasa 22.5 inches with overall sword length 27 inches. This blade was prob either kotachi or boys sword. It couldn’t have been cut down very much being the mei is still there and being only 22.5 inches unless signature done gimei later. Nakago definitely looks aged. Quote
vajo Posted March 8, 2021 Report Posted March 8, 2021 Looks like an old sword. Could you show better pictures of the blade? Quote
Utopianarian Posted March 8, 2021 Author Report Posted March 8, 2021 I got the pics from eBay. I asked for better pics but nothing yet from the seller. Seems interesting Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted March 8, 2021 Report Posted March 8, 2021 A nice enough sword but expensive, needs new Ito. Quote
Utopianarian Posted March 8, 2021 Author Report Posted March 8, 2021 Definitely agree. Has potential but too much money Quote
