Honestly not sure what I have here. I was hoping for some identification and if it drew interest would be willing to sell. I apologize if this is not the place to post for this. -Jake

The fittings are in rough shape.. I think value depends greatly on the condition and desirability of the blade itself. Depends on what grade of smith this guy was and what the polish of the blade is like.. but it looks pretty scratched up. Is there still a strongly visible hamon?

Two problems. First, this shouldn't be posted here in the For Sale section. Should be under Nihonto. Once you've determined a sale price, then post it here.

Second, please add your first name on all posts, so we can address you correctly, per Brian's rules. Thanks.

This is from a previous discussion on Kunimori, quote from Chris Bowen below on this topic:

"the Kunimori blades were not made by Miyaguchi, only signed by him. According to his son, who helped hold the blades while his father cut the signatures, they were made in bulk by a smith in Shizuoka prefecture named Mitsukoshi Hiromasa, using western steel. Apparently they were forge welded, but the exact nature of their construction is not known. They were known to have been made of western steel"
