Hello,

I just got this tsuba and can't figure it out. It looks a lot like a cast but inlay is genuine. Someone had to put a lot of effort to make it. Please let me know what you think.

Best Regards,

Krystian

I also thought abut Jakushi at first but after close examination I am more and more skeptical. Here are some examples from my archives of tsuba that I am certain are real Jakushi.

The things that are different:

1.  mei.

2. patina and steel color

3. Face and scales of the dragon are a bit "soft". Could not see any tool marks on them.

But I am not certain. That is why I wrote the post in the first place. If you think that this looks like a genuine Jakushi, that is a good news for me:)
