Authentic Kanesada?

Based on the tang signature only, does this appear to be a true Kanesada?

Mei says : Noda Goro Fujiwara Kanesada 野田五郎藤原金定 

 

Don't know if this mei is soshin or not, it's the first time i see this mei.

He is recorded, but, I know of no oshigata to which we can refer. Markus' book does say he is noted for kogatana and worked in Mino and Owari. Genroku period. John

Whenever I see a thread with Kanesada in the title I usually skip it as there seems to be a million Kanesada swords going around at any one time.

 

The sword in this thread has a mei reading Noda Goro Fujiwara Kanesada. A web search turned up no papered examples from this signature.

Mei comparison below. No comparables in Sesko's book or my other mei references and none of these examples are shinsa verified, so take from it what you will.

I always think that, yet see different fakes on many no name swords. Bizarre.

 The kanji spacing seems tight in some spaces, loose in others, perhaps indicating hesitation.
