Hi members,

I have for sale this Katana O suriage attributed by a NBTHK Hozon to Hideyo Hyoshinshi (Suishinshi).

Shinshinto Kaei 1848 Musashi province.

Hideyo, also called Tamura Gunpei, was the student and son-in-law of the great Suishinshi Masahide considered the founder of the movement Shinshinto.
The particular and rare shape of this blade is called “Kissaki Moroha Zukuri”. The origin of it is very old and dates back over 1000 years.
One of the most prestigious sword like this is the legendary Kogarasu-maru (10th century) which was a treasure of the Taira Clan and is now in the imperial collection.

This magnificent blade has an excellent quality, no Kizu, with a nice activity where we can see Nie, Chikei, Sunagashi, Kinsuji, Nioi Fukaku, Nioiguchi …

Sold in Shirasaya, with a beautiful Habaki and NBTHK Hozon certificate.

Fujishiro rank = Josaku

My price is 7900 € plus shipping. Of course, a donation will be made if sold to a member.

More pictures on my website. Don't hesitate to email me with your questions.

Thanks Brian ;-)

It's a very nice blade, and much better in hands.

Here's one more pic where we can see easily the Jihada (tight itame).

Thank you very much Jean !

Yes, not a problem for me to take my camera but it's not the same for the rest of my stuff (lighting, etc...)

If you want this kind of pictures, I need my full setup ;-)

Are you sure it is Osuriage and not just designed to mimic osuriage? The way the hamon starts looks like it starts slightly lower in the nakago. I ask because I have a blade that was designed to look osuriage and is very similar.

Jason, sincerely this is an interesting theory but I can't be categorical about the subject.

In any case, thank you very much for giving me your opinion :)
