cabowen Posted November 11, 2013 Report Posted November 11, 2013 Not sure about the "nori" part without looking in the Meikan but I think Veli has nailed the rest for sure... Quote
k morita Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 Hi, Veli is right reading. Yes, the mei is Yasunori 保 則 , NOT Yasufusa. See [Nihonto meikan]on page 1070 (attached pic). Yasunori is Shinto smith. Quote
Nobody Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 I was wrong. Yes, I find it Yasunori. Quote

Jean Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 KingKo, Please sign all your posts by a first name and an initial as per the Board rules. Morita san is right, you should have stated that the sword was on ebay. Quote
Stephen Posted November 12, 2013 Report Posted November 12, 2013 looks like a good candidate for a cane sword, bit of polish here, bit of mounting there. Quote

Morita san is right, you should have stated that the sword was on ebay. My mistake, I did not see in the rules that I needed to say where the sword was from. New here. Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 looks like a good candidate for a cane sword, bit of polish here, bit of mounting there. A slight understatement? Quote
kusunokimasahige Posted November 14, 2013 Report Posted November 14, 2013 Rather an overstatement.... KM. Quote
student Posted November 22, 2013 Report Posted November 22, 2013 Howdy, Now that the sale is over, I wanted to ask about the two small characters to the right of the date. I can't decide if they are hentaigana or kanji. Maybe 生大? though if so I'm not quite sure how to translate it. Any thoughts? Much obliged, Quote
