  1. I’m sure I posted some on the forum https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/216883484_uma-thurman-signed-kill-bill-hattori-hanzo-bride-replice-prop-sword-bas-coa-dover-de
  2. Probably to speed up production. Urushi with black dye (roiro urushi?) on cloth gives thicker layer.
  3. Thank You all for help.
  4. honorable mentions
  5. I want to humbly ask for Your help boys. Mei is hard to read for me but it's niji so maybe You will be able to help. Blade is in bad shape but these fittings looks tasty. https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/signed-wwii-Japanese-officers-katana-w-scabbard-f09dfcc172
  6. Thanks Bruce, I linked You cheap Nco I bought this week so I will have a lot of fun. I need to try myself on mass-produced steel. I would also go for wet soak entire blade in choji and wrapping in towel as pre-soda prep. It’s not professional removal, more like last resort preservation effort but it gave me results that stops year long headache :D If not for this Aki I would still be „mostly koshirae owner” - same as 17 years ago. Most important thing is time and repetition. Black rust can be deep. And soda/uchiko moves need to go with a grain. As this is not polished blade I would go ape with uchiko too. Adding NCO pics from auction. I will go for sharp and clean number too. I will go for different treatment on either side.
  7. 1440$ [with premium] I tried. Let’s hope new owner will be happy.
  8. https://www.samuraishokai.jp/sword/26119.html nice pictures
  9. Kanji of naga shouldn’t be different? https://japaneseswordindex.com/naga.htm also drunk „saku” It can be different nagamitsu. Please more pics of blade. Nakago looks cleaned? Wasn’t added another mekugi ana? Looks like „doctored” koshirae, check If hamon isn’t made with acid
  10. "Please note that this is not the section to announce your own items that have been listed for sale. Please use this section to address items or sellers that are not directly related to yourself. Remember that if you are merely pointing out new listings or items for sale, then it belongs in the For Sale section, and please don't abuse that privilege either with 10 different announcements at a time." oh boy :D
  11. Books arrived. Thank You.
  12. Want to sell tab would be more appropriate.
  13. Second version "colonello" :D Production started 2009 Paul Chen Yasukuni Captains Gunto swords PC2444 Main thread below.
  14. "Beautiful Katana with bright blade with 26" cutting edge. The blade is bright with an active hamon. The one hole tang is signed. The Katana has shin gunto mounts and saya. The tsuka has ray skin grip and silk wrap. CONDITION: The Katana is very clean throughout and only shows minor wear. A very well preserved example. Excellent" I wrote to them. 200$ bp isn't worthy bad reputation.
  15. You know that some were receiving custom invoice with tariffs in separate letter?
  16. NCO 95 same habaki. I probably saw it in fake Nco's so I will post it here. Elaborate work. . https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/231808638_japanese-wwii-nco-shin-gunto-sword-with-scabbard-and-leather-hanger-hallandale-beach-fl
  17. It's all about preservation. You would rather keep nanbokucho blade with hagire or kirikomi or mint? I don't see more value in visible flaws. Blade with atribution is enough. Monkeys were killing other monkeys with sticks or stones. Blade is complex enough to believe it is capable of killing :D especially made in days when killing with a sword was a fashion. Bad smiths just went extinct. On the margin - usage of blades as weapons made some confusion in United Kingdom lately.
  18. Could this be repaired just by usage of superglue? Metal to metal [cyanoacrylate glue]
  19. You buying weapon or piece of art? If You want a weapon go for ww2 blades with fat-rust and chips. I don't need additional proof that blade could kill someone. Even better if blade is mint- no possible structural microcracks. Saidan-mei? Oh so cool blade can cut through dead body.
  20. Check nakago for seki stamp. He was Seki tosho and is listed as Seki Tosho https://www.japaneseswordindex.com/seki.htm Also check this thread
