  5. I feel Mr. Yamaguchi's pain!!! It is scary to have your blade and money in no man's land! Brian, is that why they all look frosted? I noticed that on my swords that he destroyed, I mean polished...

  9. Hello all.. I've often thought about the above belief ,but even in peaceful times there must have been utilitarian bushi. Consider all the inner conflicts and then in the late edo the threat of foreign invaders. Plus I can't imagine the entire bushi class (or the smiths) forgetting the intended purpose of that Sharp peice of steel they are holding (or forging) is. Just a thought.. Respectfully,
  10. I respect tour opinion but I guess I'm jaded..
  11. With all do respect, he flat out lied on multiple occasions about the progress of the work and I had to tell him I was sending my friend to pick up the blades and then magically he started to communicate and the swords were shipped back ASAP, though ruined anyway. I gave him many chances through my dealings with him and I like to think I'm a nice guy and I give people slack sometimes but after the 8th month of getting the run around you tend to get angry! Respectfully,
  12. PM me I have horror stories dealing with this guy and I have what might be current phone/addresses.. Sorry to hear that your having issues!
  13. Maybe the condition? Most military collectors look for pristine condition. That said, notice that one has no bids? Respectfully,
  14. Gentlemen thank you for your help! Is kifudo a store name or school name? The kanji for "do" being main building or store? Regards,
  15. Sorry missed your request. I have posted a pick in the translation request area as I am having an issue learning about these as I know nothing about tosogu. I also have a request for help with the kozuka which reads nobukatsu and something? Regards,
  16. Sir, thank you very much! Exactly what I wanted to know. Regards,
  17. Could someone explain or attach a link to learn what the standards are for tosogu papers? I picked up a decent tanto with hozon papers and the tsuba, kogatana and kozuka are signed. So I'm trying to figure out if I should get them to shinsa as well... Thanks for any and all help! Respectfully,
  18. Hello, I am having some trouble with this mei. I think its Nobukatsu but I can't figure out the script to the right.. All help is appreciated!
