  6. Ok so if the yasurimei is fresh and since there are 2 mekugiana, do smiths re-dress the nakago to that degree after suriage or machi-okure? Just curious.. Thanks!
  7. I wonder if Bill S. Preston Esq.(Alex Winter) is going to be Kira Yoshinaka? So So sad!!!
  8. Point taken! Thank you.. I have noticed a thin komidare, but only one side shows hitatsura?
  9. Ok, thanks.. That makes sense. The reason I am asking is I have a blade signed naomune with a strange hamon and in its present polish you can see about half of the blade. At first I thought hitatsura but I see a thin suguba komidare plus it looks like utsuri coming down from the shinogi but it outlined with bright nei..?
  10. Does anyone have examples of standing utsuri? Does standing indicate that its as pronounced as the hamon? Thanks!
  11. Also, Mark is a good guy, plus he knows his swords! Don't hesitate to buy from him.
  12. Sarute Saru=monkey te=hands
  13. If anyone can confirm the Japanese info on the bottom sticker I would appreciate it! I think it says 35,000 ryo but the little sticker in english states 3500 ryo..(a little difference) Also If anyone has heard of Ken Hisatoshi? He is the author of the information.. Did they still use ryo for an estimate of value after meiji? Thanks to all!
  14. Thanks! To me it looks like an eikyo bizen blade..? Ubu and machi-okure. But the tachi mei throws me off.
  15. Here ya go...Its in very old polish...
  16. Just picked up a blade 24.25", tachi mei Naomune. Also there is a tag near the end of the saya that states Bizen Naomune 3500ryo.. Any info or links for oshigata would be appreciated! Regards,
  17. Too many (about 89%) of his blades get re-listed after they're sold on ebay... Has to be some ghost bidding going on...?
  18. Just an FYI, I spoke to Tsuruta-san and suggested maybe a discount for nmb members since there are roughly 2 thousand and with the yen so strong that might boost some sales with the members and he agreed.. I said 20% but I'm sure it would depend on the peice... Regards,
  19. Thank you...!
