  1. I know its a tsuba.... Everything else, I don't have a clue. plum blossom sukashi? I know nothing about tsuba and Im kinda scared to get into it to be honest but after trolling the tosogu threads Ive turned to the dark side a little. I appreciate any help with age or possibly school. Regards,
  2. I found this on another site from another seller but the mei and workmanship gives me a strange feeling, could this be another one? I cant find any info on the smith either?
  3. I think omura sounds more probable.. But still just throwing it out there.
  4. I believe the second kanji is mura, so maybe the first two are a last name?
  5. Thank you very much!
  6. If someone could help with this I would appreciate it! Regards,
  7. Every sword I have seen polished by him has foundation issues and a frosty appearance in the ji (not utsuri).. I would check everything by him using the a low watt light bulb to check for dips in the foundation. Just my .02 BTW, I hope everybody gets their blades back!
  8. Here is an interesting link from Nihontocraft.com http://www.nihontocraft.com/Aratameshi_Nihonto.html Not sure the guys in the video had this in mind but??? Regards,
  9. Sounds like what he did to my friend, in the process he ruined a 29.7" nagasa nio kiyomitsu.... A very shady guy!
  10. I'm currently assisting another member with retrieving a sword from Mr.Roush. I had a friend in California ready to swing by his home address but he wasn't there and didn't answer his phone. Not sure how to continue from here..

Not to keep flogging a dead horse, but I have to chime in! Goerge did not insult you at all and since you are asking for others to lend you their time and acquired knowledge I would be carefull when assuming anything negative when they are simply trying to provide you with what you are asking! Most on this board will do their very best not to be rude, even when they should be... Respectfully,
  12. I believe thats only for importation as they were made in Japan. Im sure quite a few never left and still needed to be registered by the owners.. Regards,
  13. Deleted since it is listed for sale here now... Respectfully,
  14. Sounds like we are close, just wait until the next novi show and Mark (nmb member) will be there and able to tell you more. Regards,
  15. It is signed kiyokuni with a star stamp and numbers on the nakago mune. Regards,
  16. Hello, the handle is earlier than WWII and so is the menuki. I would just oil the blade as there is no sense getting a new saya made only to ruin it with a dirty blade. Get some choji oil and just preserve it as is until you can afford to restore it properly! Dont clean the blade at all!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy!
  17. Hello, just curious if this would be a higo school tsuba and what age might it be? It has silver boar's eye inlay along the rim, which is one of the reasons I said Higo. Thank you in advance!
  18. Where is this listed now? I sold it to a guy in Hungary and then it popped up in France I think..
  19. Hello, you need to post pictures of the nakago. Also an overall shot of the blade would help as well.. Regards,
  20. Sir, the pictures except for maybe one, won't do any good in aiding your request. Try to find the standard web format usually available in most photo editing software and give it another go. Respectfully,
  21. Normally I keep my mouth shut and just soak in everything I can when it comes to tosogu threads, but I am in love! The muscle and tendon definition on the right leg and left hand, the facial expression on the? Hage-jin (wife isn't around to ask for a nihongo lesson) and the fact that you can see the same on the tsuka! Just awesome! Sorry for the lack of contribution to this one Regards,
  22. The Koshirae looks to be a tourist or export peice. As far as the blade the horimono looks like it was made for the same purpose. Just my opinion. Regards,
  23. That's what I was hoping it was...
  24. Really!!! I looked at the auction page but I still cant believe it! 90% of the prices seem insane.
  25. I put this in the for sale section but just because I have never run across his? sayagaki before I figured I would post it... Dont need a translation as I know what it says, just curious if anyone has seen his sayagaki before? The kao looks close to what I have found on his origami but
