Hi, The oshigata shown in Fujishiro and Toko taikan are from the same blade, however in Fujishiro, it's about the shodai and in the Toko Taikan, about the nidai.
  2. Hi, Kanmuri-otoshi-zukuri is correct, kissaki-mohora-zukuri is with a partial second cutting-edge.

Hi, Below an oshigata from the shodai. I don't think it's this one.
  4. Hi, To repair your tsuka (handle), you can make rice glue and fix it with (rice glue is traditionaly used to stick parts of shirasaya). http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Rice-Glue
  5. Hi, All Japanese art swords are nihon-tô, but all nihon-tô are not art sword. This is my opinion. :D

  7. Hi, Why not? Nihon-tô (日本刀) literally means Japanese sword; it is a generic term including all the swords made by and for the Japanese warriors. Showa-tô are Nihon-tô, Gunto are Nihon-tô as well as kazuuchi-mono or artistic swords.

Hi, It's a ware, an horizontal flaw (bad welding).
  16. Hi, I think it is daikon, a radish variety. Excellent for the gallbladder :D
  17. Hi, Effectively you can sometimes find a "Kawari-deki" as said Kanzan Sato sensei, but it's not a true utsuri it's a kind of mutant not intentionally done. It is also far from being *quite common*
  18. Only on koto blades, no utsuri on shinto Bungo blades.
  19. Hi, I've never seen a Hiromasa blade with a Bizen nakago

  23. Hi, No worries, i just felt it was slightly suggested. About the Taiho Ritsu-Ryo edicted in 701 and often revised later, if it has been scrupulously respected, we should not find mumei blade excepted the suriage ones.
  24. Hi, The question asked is not so stupid, Signing swords was an obligation since the promulgation of the Taiho Ritsu-Ryo by the emperor Monmu
