  4. I started 36 years ago by a wakizashi (gimei) then went to aucton where I bought 2 wakizashis (a koto bitchu wakizashi and an O suriage toran-ba katana), kozuka and tsuba which went away in the raffle ..... Now I dont know what i shall do; probaly pass to other hobbies (perhaps buy from time to time a tsuba or kogatana) but before, my last move will be buy a juyo

    Kogatana

BTW, I am not a specialist of kogatana, like tsuba, I buy sometimes a piece I like. These Kogatana have the same kind of signature on the blades. If I come across others, depending on my finance, I shall probably buy them.

    Kogatana

Thanks Shan for the info. I got both of them on Aoi Art. The first one years ago. They are quite thick and you have a shave with them. As my scan is not a fantastic one, I'll post the one from Aoi Art sent me (the second one I bought from Auction). Ted, the mei is on the blade itself, the inscription on the tang is to the Emperor/Japan glory

Marc, Just scan the page and e-mail it to me. For NMB members, Marc was my bestman at my wedding and my flyfishing partner :D
  12. Right Markus, not frequent at all
  13. Mark, Thanks a lot for the picture. I was mislead because you wrote at first a "Senjuin Koto Katana" (Yamato), in fact, it was an Akasaka Senjuin Mino katana. If you can get a picture, it will be a pleasure. I seem to see some togari.
  14. You just kill it ...
  15. That was a booby trap, Joseph, that's what Reinhard meant by : As often, in most cases, when being carefull, Strangers write a better idioma than most natives. Reinhard English, as Carlo, Jacques are often flawless :D :D

    MITO SCHOOL

Thanks a lot John, I understand that, more or less, a Kyo Kinko kantei = a shoami Kantei for some tsuba (meaning: "by default")
  24. Fantastic blades. Is it possible to have one or to close up of the Senjuin sword.? It seems it has a very unusual hamon.

    MITO SCHOOL

Thanks a lot John forthe answer, here are two more, both fantastic in their own way. One is a kinko, the other one is a an incredible iron inlaid tsuba, is there any possibility to kantei them to a school, apart Kyo Kinko for the first one.
