I'm sorry for being a bit snide in my first post on this, I do think this is a fine tanto and one to be proud of, it may have have been Nobuyoshi-san's tribute to a blade such as the Muramasa that I posted. Ebay is funny between different countries, when looking at Martins books in German Ebay they all came up in English Ebay it said no other auctions...Mike talked about his items for sale in the first part of the thread, hang tight I'm sure he'll get a hold of you.   16. from the pix in hand would be best...IMHO its worth a polish and looks to be water temper. from the pix you can see koashi and a white line above the hamon. If you have polished please share the pix.

  18. its been polished for some time you can take the shipping coat off and enjoy, there will still be a light coat on it and your not going to choji it so its all good, study away... once more very nice buy.
