After that,I got a research book of Yamaura Masao and his son Kanetora. The book title is [Meisho No Katami]( Keepsake from master-hand's)pub 2011, 名匠の形見 This book contains 51 oshigata of MASAO(and various his smith names, )、and 16 Kanetota oshigata. I agree with BaZZa. Piers, 一剣を留め、起ちて臣の助と為す。 "Ikken o todome(or tame) tachi te shin no suke to nasu." English meaning(rude free translation) is :[to take action with owning one sword, it's helpful for samurai.] Sorry poor my English,the Kanji text has more profound and deep meaning.

Hi, Thank you for your postings. hint #2: He lived in Shinano province(Shinshu province) . The mei is not four Kanji characters and is five Kanji characters. (3 Kanji are his pen name/art name and 2 Kanji are smith name)

Hi, :D As for the Kofuda paper,anybody can read it easyly if only Japanese people. However,Zanshin pointed out appraiser's family name and name which issued the Kofuda paper,and showed us clearly "what he was". Therefore, I admired Mr.Dirk(Zanshin).

Hi, :D The mei says "Amachi,Sahyoe-no-jo, Masatsune", 天 池 左 兵 衛 尉 正 恒. But,he(Amachi Masatsune) was a Seki smith in WWII period.

Hi, One more other Oshigata, signd "Hizen no kuni, Ishii Tadaaki " . (His family name(Ishii/石井) is carved clearly on the tang.) This oshigata from sword-exhibition in 1940.
