  1. Your welcome Bruce..
  2. Hello Bruce, Yes, the Kanefusa I have with the lightweight saya does indeed have the star on the tsuba and seppa… Regards, Paul
  3. Many thanks to everyone for the help…The sword belongs to a friend who is worse than me at taking photo’s..! Best Regards, Paul..
  4. I would be most grateful for a translation please.. Regards, Paul
  5. Hello John, If I could get the knot to the UK I would buy it…Best Regards Paul
  6. Hello Mike, A very nice type 98 shin-gunto which looks 100% genuine with the added bonus of a company grade tassel… Regards, Paul
  7. Hello Peter, Samurai Warriors a U.K dealer has lots of parts and very good to deal with. Regards Paul
  8. War and Son UK Militaria dealers have a nice one and you just missed one on JC Militaria… Regards, Paul
  9. Hello Steve, Yes.I still have it … Regards, Paul
  10. Hello Brian, Looks like a scam to me….photo’s of two different tsuka, one genuine in copper the other fake in brass plus saya is genuine type 95 but not for copper version which should have a plug for a drag but of course could be period replacement.. Regards, Paul.
  11. Hello, Agree, looks like Sageo…looks to be quite long ? Regards, Paul.
  12. Hello, Agree with above..100% fake unfortunately… Regards, Paul.
  13. Hello William. Agree with John….They forgot to put a hole in the tsuka ( hilt ) for the sarute and used a Ishizuke ( chape) as the kabuto-gane ( hilt pommel )..But after all that it is a genuine sword with a mint arsenal made blade…It is a piece of history in my eyes and at the right price a nice display sword.. Regards, Paul
  14. Hello Vitaly, It’s a genuine type 95 in all respects but in poor condition…Blade is pretty good and the hilt will probably clean up ok when that paint is removed..scabbard ( saya ) a bit more difficult with that chrome plating…..Bottom end of the price range if buying.. Regards, Paul.
  15. Hello Mikko, It’s a really bad fake 100%…All the components look poorly made from the leather wrap on the grip to the shape of the blade.. Regards, Paul
