Two Tsuba gifted for services rendered......

While I was looking for a single malt my Neighbour found these in a "Car Boot" sale and thought it was better for my liver :)

As you know I am not a Tsuba bloke and excuse the scans, untill I get the photographic system sorted, this it the best I can do, seem both pretty ordinary, one sukashi iron while the other is I think copper and signed.

Please tell me they are worth more than a good Malt.... :cry:

Thanks

Roy {not a drunk for obvious reasons}

PS. Both are boxed....is that to stop people laughing?

I enjoy them both. the sukashi is very nice looking. I believe I will have a bit of brandy and a fine smoke. I got some new cigars and they have been resting. I looked for a single malt but went with a brandy, but thanks to your post I am now craving a good scotch. Darn you.

bit back on topic not so much a tri sho as trifecta, more on topic, Roy when scanning trying giving the backgrond some color like a blue folder, purple cloth, red paper. each color will give diff results.

OK Stephen, but am struggling with thee phot set up also I thought that the plain white background was the more acceptable. Have downloaded Picasa as Mark suggested, I will see how that performs.

Thanks Stephen

I have had some good results with blades by photographing with a natural light source,along the blade and using a UV filter. See attached.

It is the fittings that are causing a Lighting problem as they have to be taken at the Museum so obviously I cannot Take either the scanner or my photographic set up. Have made a mobile unit up and tested at home but 40/60watt household bulbs are causing a problem.
