Please help identify signature

I have the capability of purchasing this. The blade is signed but these are the best pictures I have from the gentleman. It is in very bad shape but I have been looking for a project to try to restore. Could you'll please help me to see if it's even worth my time or is it a cheap replica. Again sorry for the bad photos. Thank you for your time.

It looks legitimate to me. But if anyone wants to attempt to translate the signature, I've made it as clear as I could.

It looks like an out of focus 一文字天秀鍛之 Ichimonji Amahide kitau kore.  However, I will need "The A-Team" of @SteveM & @BANGBANGSAN to take a look at it and make sure I am not seeing things again.
