strange fish on a tsuba

Has anyone got any idea what this 'fish' is?  Goblin shark? a species of Sawfish? I was going to guess Ratfish but the tail is completely wrong.

These fish are giving me nightmares!  Lucky I went for the "Tree change" and not the "Sea change".

We just had a mass stranding of Pilot Whales here in Tassie - maybe they were trying to get away from the fish!

Might be something from Mitsukurinidae family that is already extinct..or a goblin fish(Mitsukurina)...But I bet it's a representation of a saw fish(family)..or an extinct one anyway.

The tsuba has lobsters and shellfish but could it be a representation of a Shachi? [If so I have put it in the wrong thread! ]

This subject really triggered my OCD @Spartancrest - > you do that time to time! This one also looks like your fish..Perhaps the artist didn't have a great memory  description sums up my thoughts..
