Brian Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Hi all, I am sure many of you have noticed the site, but I stumbled on it a few days ago and having browsed a bit, I really think that there are some great items there are very fair prices. Both Ford and I saw a few tsuba that we thought were very nice at good prices. It is also fairly educational to see tsuba that have attributions from someone who knows the difference. I think Fred Geyer (the owner) is known as somewhat of an Akasaka expert too, and there is some great eye-candy there. For those buying, I am sure there are some great deals too. Not often you see tsuba in original mint condition like some I saw. So just thought I would point it out for anyone who likes to browse or shop. Perhaps someone can even assist with the very few mei that he couldn't translate. The site is at http://www.swordsandtsuba.com and I'll be adding it to the links section shortly. Brian Quote
pcfarrar Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I got a great Jakushi tsuba from Fred not so long ago. He was good to deal with. Quote
Stephen Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Known Fred for years, very good to work with and a great guy. Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Grrr.... If only I had $20K to spend - I would buy the Shodai Ujifusa in a heartbeat. That thing is beautiful! I think I'll go start buying lotto tickets and one day it will be mine - oh yes, it will be mine. Quote
Rich S Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Nice site and good stuff. I've added Fred's site to my commercial links page. Rich S Quote
