Opera Browser and their VPN

Putting this here so non-members can see it too. Will move to Izakaya in a day or so.
I see a lot of posts from people who can't view a certain video or see a certain auction because of their location. Many sites are blocked by ISP's or countries or companies.
For a while now I have been advocating people get around this with a VPN, of which there are many free and paid ones. But for those who are a bit technically challenged and want an easy way, I want to recommend the free Opera browser.
I am going to talk through it for a pc. Not sure if and how it works on cellular, but there are VPN's for that too.
Download the free Opera browser here: https://www.opera.com/
Once installed, go into settings on the bottom left, then advanced, and halfway down you can set VPN to on.
Then on any web page, you can click VPN at the top of the page, and set your virtual location (or at least Americas, Europe etc)
That should allow you to view eBay auctions, videos etc in most cases. There will always be exceptions, but it is better than being locked out. I just used it to view some bizarre German video set in SA and worked fine.
Btw, you can turn off the VPN anytime for regular browsing, as VPN can be a bit slower.
Also, NOTE: Do not try and use a VPN while using Paypal as their security settings can sometimes pick this up and lock your account for a while.

I use this on my phone and recommend it. I do t use the private tab often but the VPN works. I also recommend the dark mode.

It's not VPN, but no problems with Firefox.

Agreed, but be sure to install the 64-bit Firefox.
