Suiban Seal Translation

I realize that this is an unusual request for this message board - I recently purchased a Meiji period bronze suiban which has an artist's seal on the bottom .... I would appreciate if anyone could provide a translation ... (Piers Dowding suggested that there is a slight chance that someone would be able to do so) ... Thanks in advance for any assistance ....

I cropped the seal and rotated it to the right orientation - I think ...

 

Seal script, the lower left character could be 山 (yama/san).

All I could add to Guido's helpful post is to try and play with the contrast and sizer a bit. Not sure this helps at all..

I believe the stamp says Jōzan (丈山).
