BIG Posted February 25, 2016 Report Posted February 25, 2016 Hi all, nice find, do we have more examples, looks like european knight gloves... http://www.trocadero.com/stores/mandala/items/1254113/item1254113.html Best Regards Quote
John A Stuart Posted February 25, 2016 Report Posted February 25, 2016 They look just like any pair of riding gloves. They aren't old as they still seem to be fairly supple. Leather tends to stiffen with age. They are called Kawatebukuro, funny as it means 'leather hand bag', but, In German they call them 'Handschuhe', so who's to judge? I have heard them called Yugake, although originally for archery it seems a general term now. John Quote
Stephen Posted February 25, 2016 Report Posted February 25, 2016 Seems they would be worn by a happy fellow Quote
Curran Posted February 25, 2016 Report Posted February 25, 2016 First thought was Japanese archery gloves. Quote
