Ken-Hawaii Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 Aloha: I would like to announce the grand reopening of the http://www.e-Budo.com Web-site. With a complete change of ownership (for disclosure purposes, I'm one of the new owners), the site has been completely upgraded & updated. If you use almost any weapon, from katana to .50-caliber sniper rifle, there's a forum for you to learn from & enjoy. A big difference is that we new owners & moderators are ready & willing to hear from you with suggestions & ideas on how to make the site even better. I invite all of you to visit our new Web-site & to become members. I want to thank Brian for giving me the OK to post this message, & also for implementing so many good idea in NMB that we happily used in the e-Budo upgrade. Ken Quote
ROKUJURO Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 Ken, maybe I am not well informed, but what has a sniper rifle to do with BUDO? Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted August 3, 2013 Author Report Posted August 3, 2013 Well, I was outvoted when it came to keeping the Firearms forum under Personal Protection & Self-Defense, but as I'm an NRA Life Member, I admit that I didn't fight all that hard. It's actually quite an interesting & popular forum. Take a look at http://www.e-budo.com/forum/showthread.php?52247-Systems-that-teach-the-gun for some basic insight. Ken Quote

Stephen Posted August 3, 2013 Report Posted August 3, 2013 got it all signed up then i get this Error 403: Forbidden Your PHP settings have been disabled by an H-Sphere administrator. Ken-Hawaii Posted August 3, 2013 Author Report Posted August 3, 2013 Ah, the first glitch - congrats, Stephen! I just passed the error message to our two Administrators, one in Sweden & the other in Japan. There's almost always one of the two on-line, so I expect a quick resolution, & will let you know. Gomen nasai! Ken Quote
b.hennick Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 Hi Ken: Second glitch. My password was not accepted. I have reduced it to a simpler password but still not accepted. Help? BTW the joining is quite involved. Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted August 4, 2013 Author Report Posted August 4, 2013 Something is strange, Barry. The site shouldn't care what your password is at long as it is at least five characters in length. I went in & set up a new account in about 45 seconds. What exactly are you seeing? Ken Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted August 4, 2013 Author Report Posted August 4, 2013 Barry, I just tried it again, this time using IE8 (the first time was with Firefox 24) - no problem at all. The first time, I used a 5-character password, & the second time, I one with 8 - no hiccups at all. The reason we have a series of questions is because we just got finished laboriously deleting 24,800 bots, & we think our qualifying questions will minimize that from happening again. Ken Quote
Baka Gaijin Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 Hi Ken, Works just fine from this neck of the woods. Cheers Quote
b.hennick Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 Hi Ken: It seems that it does not like capital letters in my user name. bhennick was accepted but not BHennick Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted August 4, 2013 Author Report Posted August 4, 2013 Barry, my username on e-Budo is exactly the same as it is here on NMB - Ken-Hawaii - which includes capital letters. I'll pass along your observation, but not sure why there was a glitch. The underlying vBulletin (which I think Brian also uses) is pretty forgiving. Ken Quote
peter Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 I finally got through the registration this morning but still waiting for a email with a link to follow. Peter Quote
