  19. Hi paul, I have received the DVD THE ART OF THE Japanese SWORD, Thank you I must say I really enjoyed it, especially as I met Matsuda Tsuguyasu in London, I beleive it was at the Swallow International Hotel When he did or was part of a exhibition of his work, unfortunately I cannot remember to much of the detail's. But I am fairly sure it was a Taikai organised by the Token Society of G.B. and I am sure Mishina Sensei was there and it would not have happened without him. I also met Otake Sensei & was introduced to him by D. Draeger at a Martial Art's course I was on in Geneva some 30 or more years ago. The whole film is very well done and also informative, so a big thank you to all involved. Keep them coming Paul. Best Regards, Tony N. I hope I have posted this under the right heading!

  21. Hi Beleive many yari were used to pull the thatch from fires in or on Japanese houses, and it is one reason I was told that many Jumonji yari have no temper. I am sure if this is a silly reason for finding no temper on your yari, some one will point it out. I have seen a small jumonji yari shin-shinto I beleive and if memory serves me correct smaller than the dimensions you have posted. Regards. Tony N.
  22. I am sure I read or was told that the Honami was the first to do it & as far as I know still do,? Regards, Tony N.
  23. Agreed as far as I am concerned, he will allways rememembered by myself with great admiration, I count myself very lucky to call him a friend & mentor. Some where I have some more personal photograph's of Kotoken and his lady wife watching Yoshihiko performing Tame shi giri. I also have my surname in lovely Kanji by him, and many letter's from him. So thank you for reminding me how fortunate I was to know this man and his son. Best Regards, Tony.

They lived in Fukuoka City, & somewhere I have a few photo's of the Family, If I can dig them out I will get them posted, there agent here( if that is the right word was Dr, G.Curtiss) from Oxford.
