Thank you! It looks like museum grade with fresh polish but 2 mekugi ana so koshirae not original for a blade. Or we have first example for deliberate 2 mekugi ana in T98. 11 nagashi? Should be 9, 12 or 15?

Dunno If we had this example. No. 72212 adv. as matching numbers and original. https://ebay.us/m/S5QgZ7

Start another thread in „general nihonto releated discussion” with actual photos of entire blade. This is thread for military stamps.

It is most copied tsuba I saw :] that’s why sekigane is right away warning. Believe Me I stopped saving those knock-offs, simply way to much of them -
He had one [Blue hardcover] for around 280$ and is long sold. I'm linking thread about all 3 editions printed I probably could assemble this book from all pics available online :]

What is legal status of these websites? Do they have permit to use copyrights? I red on reddit about lawsuits towards these type of virtual library. In States protection lasts 70 years after death of writer? -
Guys is there any added value if I have already Japanese Military and Civil Swords and Dirks to buy MILITARY SWORDS OF Japan 1868-1945 By Richard Fuller & Ron Gregory? These books have exact same info or they complement each other? I see some diferences on pages I found e.g. wakase page from "greenbook"

@Vampyres @Scogg simply said that we are "dumpster divers" :D Those marks on nakago looking like welding couldn't be done by loose tsuba ratling. I'm adding closeups of this nakago area and as a reminder that all can happen photo of nakago made to "mount them all" [from gunto koshirae]

oil went 50% up in a month. Whatever you have to ship do it now. -
Yes Steve, for me it lookjed like [sho stamp] saku :] and I thought about those fittings - they looked so bad that no one trying to create a fake would accept that in my opinion. Maybe it was hastily put together from parts as last stand effort? It was better to give this as a functional weapon or leave someone unarmed? Look on mekugi ana, rust etc. even yasurime is consistent. Ofcourse better not to buy this :] Nagasa below 24 inch.

Legit until proven otherwise. Many interesting features with some imprint on saya leather cover https://www.ebay.com/itm/376287779847?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20250417133020%26meid%3Db918e1ff3fdd4d3ca0b743dcc8ee6584%26pid%3D102726%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D376287779847%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D4375194%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2DWebWithPSItemDRV2_BP&_trksid=p4375194.c102726.m162918

If nakago wasn't altered what about inconsistent yasurime? I wonder could this be forgery or muromachi blade repurposed for gunto fittings by machi okuri. Funniest option would it be if this is originally Bizen sword with fake Mino Seki signature.
