  1. Does not explain the different Ji Hada.
  2. My opinion, Unsigned Seki Gendaito, that has been acid cleaned. Look at the Kissaki and you can still see pitting.
  3. The last two kanji are, Tsukuru Kore (Respectfully made this).
  4. I can't see Shigeyuki, in the Mei?
  5. I'll throw another one out there. Shinken, try discussing this with Martial Artists.
  6. Seki is part of Gifu. Not sure if the Gi stamp replaced the Seki stamp. Also, I'm not sure whether or not this is just an acceptance stamp or whether it denotes, showato.
  7. Began with Sadayoshi, then Sadakazu, Sadakatsu, Sadamitsu ( Sadakazu 11).
  8. Hi Neil, yes it's a Gassan Habaki. I had it made whilst the sword was being polished.
  9. Hi, following on from John's Sadakazu thread, I thought, why not expand it to encompass all Gassan School, from Ko Gassan on. I will begin with a Gassan Sadakatsu, made for the Minotagawa Jinja in 1933
  10. Robert, it was made in 1888. It's brother, who I mentioned is in HWs book, is a photo from the Shinshinto Meikan. The signifigance of the Kikisui, eludes me. I also have a Sadakatsu, who's brother is also in HWs book. This one has the Kikisui as a horimono on the blade with two other Kanji as Horimono on the other side of the blade. I'm led to believe that, 6 blades were commissioned by the Minotagawa Jinja in 1933 and presented to senior naval officers.
  11. Ono Yoshimitsu.
  12. Guido, I understand and appreciate what you said. My politcs reference, was to the point you made about Hikaku. Must admitt only hearsay rumours I heard when I was in the US.
  13. Here is mine. It's brother is listed in HWs Minotagawa book.
  14. I don't think Yoshindo, will. I've been led to believe he was passed over last time. I am also led to believe it's a political issue.
  15. It's signed, Takehisa (often has the W stamp). I think there could be a debate on whether this is a Gendaito or a Showato.
  16. To me, it looks like Shinto with O notare Hamon, which looks like the precursor to Toran Ba.
  17. Most people in the Nihonto world know about Neverdull. I also saw a can of it, sitting on Tsurita San (Aoe Arts) desk.
  18. Brandon, Akihide wasn't the teacher, Shigetsugu was.
  19. John Grasso of NihontoAu, Had a sword by Akihide that looked very similar to this one. He was asking 50k Aussie.
  20. It's an Iaito. Blade made for martial arts.
  21. Looks Shinto to me.
  22. Kai Gunto, with Shinto blade (posted in Kambun)......
