  2. At least you were able to buy with full knowledge of the facts, which is the only way for me to do it.
  3. The answer is 3 because there is a reading direction for the hamon (imagine yourself watching an oshigata); the explanations will come later because there are other questions first. What is hamon? 1- part of the blade 2- a separating line

  6. There is no 魚道 listed in the Nihonto meikan. 兼道 is engraved on the nakago of this tanto and nothing else. I would add the kanji 魚 reads GYO or SAKANA; Different ways of writing Kane 兼

  10. I'm going to play devil's advocate, but the respect for individual freedom that some people advocate must also apply to this subject. The owner does what he wants with his object. Not all swords deserve to be religiously preserved. For me, for example, showatto have no value whatsoever.
  11. +1
  12. From what I can see, they don't look like chikei; personally, I'd look toward a bad application of nugui, but I can't be sure. As I can't stress enough, you can't judge by photos.

    Rai Kuniyuki

How are swordsmiths listed? By artist name, that's all. Kunitoshi and Rai Kunitoshi are two different artists, and if you call the former as the latter, it doesn't make sense.
  15. i know this sword it's a rare one with a tachi mei, it's signed 豊後國行平作

    Rai Kuniyuki

I'm a physicist, so I'm rigorous (maybe a little too). Rai Kuniyuki doesn't exist, but Kuniyuki of the Rai school does.
  17. It's always interesting to know the motivation behind a choice.
